Episode 3 of meet the members takes us to where it all began for QRC…… Martin Firth was instrumental in its creation and he remains a run leader and one of our most popular members. Often seen running round the streets of Queensbury he took time away to answer a few questions for us.
Pauline and Charlotte in action Castle Carr (half) fell race on Sunday. A tough race, at just over 7 mile and just short of 1700ft of climbing!! We’re used to hills round this way though! Pauline finished 1st F60 and Charlotte 3rd Lady and 1st F50. Outstanding running!
The Brook family took their annual pilgrimage to the Scarborough for the Yorkshire Coast 10k this weekend. The race starts and finishes at the Spa running to sealife centre and back. Some QRC members visiting the coast managed to cheer them on – always a morale boost seeing QRC colours in the crowds!
4 of our runners were in action Yesterday at Manchester half Marathon. Laura, Mark, Taz and Gary all set new PB’s with all runners posting sub 2 hour times! Well done guys
Andrew Young ran the Yorkshire 10 mile yesterday around York in a brilliant time The race began in the heart of York – arguably the most beautiful City in the UK – and passed many of the its historic landmarks, including the world-famous York Minster and the mighty medieval City Walls Well done Andy!
Vikki and Simon both ran the second Bridlington multi-terrain 13.5 mile race Sunday 1st Oct 2023 The course starts on the prom and heads off to Sewerby, Danes dyke and Flamborough before returning to finish back on the prom. Well done guys, it sounds a great route!
Sunday 1st Oct was race 7 of the Veterans series at Ackworth. Jo Lockwood placed 3rd in her category and Jo Horan was 2nd lady and described the course as an absolute mud bath! Well done guys!
