A great day for Queensbury RC in York at this year’s Altra Yorkshire 10 Mile! The iconic course starts and finishes at York Racecourse, taking runners past the historic Minster and out through the picturesque Yorkshire countryside before looping back for a grandstand finish.
Flying the green and orange with pride, we had four fantastic performances:
Lucy Cottam – 1:22:31 (Chip)
A brilliant, well-paced run from Lucy, showing strong form and composure all the way through.
Martin Sellors – 1:33:35 (Chip)
Another consistent performance from Martin, taking 18th in his MV65 category – superb effort!
Rob Glover – 1:39:35 (Chip)
Great work from Rob, running steady and strong on this undulating 10-mile route.
Jane Skudder – 2:07:03 (Chip)
A huge personal milestone for Jane as this was her longest race to date, and she absolutely smashed it! Fantastic determination and spirit from start to finish.
A big well done to all our runners for representing Queensbury with pride and enthusiasm — another brilliant day for the club!
