The final race of the West Yorkshire Cross Country Winter League took place on Sunday 23rd February.
Hosted by Stainland Lions the race was relatively short at just over 4.5 miles with a slightly altered route and new start. Another good team of 13 runners from QRC battled it out on the mixed terrain circuit, including muddy paths, woodland, tarmac, slippery cobbles and flagstones plus some steep climbing.
Excellent running saw QRC’s Kole Broadfoot-Cox (31:16) take first place again, with Tali Faulkner (42.24) the second QRC runner to cross the line, coming in as 7th female overall. Richard Brook (43:51) was third QRC runner home, In their respective age categories Glenn Thornton came first, and Mark Crabtree and Pauline Naylor came 3rd. Well done to all, and indeed to every QRC runner who has competed in the league. Your green WYWL buffs are well deserved!
