Emily took on her first half marathon last weekend, after recently covering 30 miles at Endure24 and it’s fair to say she smashed both. Read her report below;
Last weekend I ran a Half Marathon at Delamere Forest organised by Andy’s Man Club. According to Google, Delamere is a large wood in the middle of Delamere, it contains a mixture of deciduous & Evergreen trees, however, what it fails to mention is the mountain of a hill appropriately referred too as ‘Bastard Hill’ which we hit at mile 5 then again at mile 10. It was a 240ft climb across 0.59 miles (x2) this contributed to over half of the elevation throughout the whole race.
My main aim was to finish, especially after the Endure24 lull. I did indeed finish, sub 2 hour and First Lady 
Next up: Great North Run!
