As a club, we are happy for you to continue to attend to use the track at these times, but please be aware you may be asked to sign in etc

Coached sessions, Tuesdays, 18:30 – 19:30

Track sessions have been designed to help runners to improve their speed & strength endurance, as well as exercising their agility, balance and co-ordination.

They are suitable for those who may think they can only run at one speed, and more competitive runners, looking to improve their race performance.

A typical session structure would be:

  • Dynamic warm-up
  • Technical drills
  • Main session (Intervals, etc.)
  • Static cool-down

Targeted sessions

These are usually run by Robin Naylor, and continue throughout most of the year.

They are targeted towards helping you achieve specific goals such as moving from 5k to 10k or working towards a half marathon.

Current activity includes a group for people wanting to move beyond 10k and a group to support faster runners improving their pace.

Around mid-summer Robin will be staring a new programme for people wishing to progress from 5k to 10k. This will include a Tuesday track session plus a group run on Thursdays. Watch out for more information.

General sessions

These are usually run by Phillip Whettlock between Apr and Nov, and are suitable for runners of all abilities. Additional information is available for the RPE ScaleOregon Circuit & Cooper Test, which maybe mentioned in the sessions.
