The reason the Whettlocks were up in the Lakes was for the Lakeland Trails Marathon day. Karol took on the Mini-Marathon 10k, whilst Phillip opted for the Half-ish Marathon – both events taking in the idyllic beauty spot of Tarn Hows.
Phillip was chuffed to grab a photo with Damian Hall (one of the UK’s best-known ultra runners and the co-founder of The Green Runners) and Andy Berry (Lake District 24-Hour Fell Record holder – 78 peaks, circa 94 miles & 40k of ascent) who were in the same race!
Both Karol and Phillip had picked up niggles eariler in the week, so sported matching Barbie-pink KT strappings.
