It was an awfully wet and windy start to the New Year at the infamous Giants Tooth Fell Race. One of them days where you sit in the car on the way there questioning your life choices.
Queensbury had 4 runners out braving the conditions, some more hungover than others (we actually had 5 entries but Glenn turned up an hour late, just after the race had started )
There was a strong headwind all the way up to the Tooth, where runners were greeted with a wind chill of about minus 10! The preceding days of heavy rain made the descent pretty treacherous before a soggy trot back round the reservoir to the finish.
All home safe and made it back to the pub What better way to start the New Year?
Results:
Tom Collinge – 1st
Gary Rowlings – 21st (But worst hangover )
Mick Coe – 33rd (Enjoyed the conditions far too much – coming first in his age category )
Carl Heron – 45th
