Phillip recently visited York to complete his version of the parkrun Alphabeteer Challenge (along with at least 3 others he met on the day). Here’s his report:
Of the parkruns which make up my list, my favourite would either be Keswick, on the old railway path. We’ve visited this one a number of times on holiday, and it’s where I recorded my fastest ever parkrun last year. The other possibility would be Milton Country in Cambridge, whilst visiting our elder daughter. This was originally called Cambridge – name changes can cause issues with this challenge!
One of the hardest was Queen’s, Glasgow (younger daughter visit this time), which I’d describe as “Horton on steroids”, but the hard climb brings panoramic views across Glasgow and towards the Campsies.
