If Tubbs and Edward from The League of Gentlemen organised a race, it might be the Stocks Lane Stinger – a local race, for local runners.
Starting and finishing near the Crossroads Inn, Wainstalls, the generous 10k course is run over mixed terrain, but mainly road, and the last 2k has an average gradient of 11.4%, with the maximum gradient hitting 17.2%.
First home for QRC was Phillip Whettlock (1:01:21), followed closely by Pauline Naylor (1:03:07) and Robin “You can see our house from here” Naylor (1:07:12). Pauline was 1st in the F60 category, and Robin 1st in the M70.
Well run all!
