2025 Wakefield Hospice 10k and 5k race

Twelve QRC runners were part of the field of over 2000 runners who completed the 2025 Wakefield Hospice 10k race on Sunday 16th March – a great turnout that helped raise over £1 million for the hospice. Andy Dovernor had a strong run to become first QRC runner to finish the undulating ‘out and back’ course. He took second place in his age group coming in at under 40 minutes (39:25). Robin Naylor was the second QRC finisher and also second in his age group (47.03) with Mark Deaney not far behind (50.05). Joanne Lockwood (50:09) was the first QRC woman across the line. Second QRC female was Carole Fryer (51.53) and third QRC female, Pauline Naylor (54.47). Steve Brook came 3rd in his age group (56.05). Well done to all who took part in QRC colours, not least the two Nicolas and Phillip who, only a few hours earlier, had stepped off their late-night plane back from their skiing holiday. Others in 10k were: Phil lee, Karen Cook, Amanda P.ears, Nicola Darnbrook and Nicola Lee

🏅 For the first time, the Wakefield Hospice 10K introduced a 5K run—giving more runners a way to support a great cause!
